Holiday in Penang.

Finally done editing the photos! I'm separating them into two posts as I have too many photos to post for SG trip! It's gonna be a picture-heavy post! :P

So, it's almost every semester that I'll follow Win to his hometown, Penang. :D I love Penang! It's my second favorite state next to my own hometown. :3 This time we planned it before our SG trip because Win had to renew his expired passport, we stayed there for around 5/6 days so he can spend more time with his family. During those day, we had spent almost every meal in eating Penang famous street food!

I must say that Penang has a very different eating culture. Unlike my place where we usually settle our supper at mamak, 24/7 fast food chains or franchise cafes that open till mid night, like Station One where young people usually hang out. In Penang, you have 24 hours access to a variety of yummilicious street food! (*¬*) My favorite place for supper is the stall selling wantan mee and stewed chicken feet with mushrooms near Free School Road. It's my favorite place for wantan mee so far :D
I love this place! It's full of big, old buildings. I took some photos of the old buildings in the area when Win was trying to drive us to the famous cendol place, but we kind of lost our way so plan failed XD

Then we passed by Fort Cornwallis and I asked Win why he never bring me to those historical, tourisy spots in Penang, and guess what, he said he doesn't even know there is such place o.o. (=.=")

Nope, this photo is not about Real Steel XD
We stopped at a traffic light on our way home and I saw this, then I jokingly told Win, see! boyfriends must be GOOD and RICH XD Then Win made this =.= face and said, the owner of that shop must be a lady XD

Poser. XD Win took me canoeing on the third day! It was the first time I rode a canoe, ♪(´ε` ) and it was super fun! ♥

Our canoeing place is next to the floating mosque.

If you like dessert this is the place! It's refreshing, smooth and not too sweet to my liking. (・∀・)

So this is the road side curry mee place Win and I went, we initially went there for yummy asam laksa recommended by his dad! But it was not open : (

Iced coffee for Win and nothing for me : ( They only have coffee and win said I'm not suppose to consume anything that contains caffeine. #okay

But the curry mee was a bit too spicy for me so I get to have a little :P
Although we had it as a substitute for asam laksa but it was not bad! Yums!
I don't eat pig's blood jelly so I gave them all to Win.

We went to the same place again the next day and finally! Asam Laksa! ♥ The portion is rather small as you can see but it was SO GOOD I was so tempted to order another bowl :P

We then went to have the famous Penang TeoChew Chendul @ Penang Road for dessert! Perfect for a scorching hot afternoon! So nice we went there again the next day :P

The very meh Rojak I ordered to nom while waiting for chendul. I was feeling super gluttonous that day but I didn't even finish it. =x=

That's all for my holiday in Penang this semester break!  ♡

Bohemian Style Turqoise Nail Art

Whee I'm back! While editing the photos from my holiday trip, I'll share about a nail art which I painted some time ago. It is inspired from the Nail Up! Magazine and a cute ring set I bought from Travellers Jewellery. They sell tonnes of pretty, affordable accessories and their service is quite efficient too. I did this nail art because I was sort of sick of geometry nail arts with dots and lines, laces and florals which I usually add =3=, so I decided to try something different instead, and it matches the adorable ring set so well! Here, I'm using my favorite bottle of nail polish, it's from Elianto (in case you're curious), I wouldn't say it's super good in quality, but for it's price, I think they're okay, and I absolutely love the color! ♥  I've also got a new bottle of similar but lighter color from Nature Republic! Will do a nail art with it this weekend :D

Erm I'm not sure if it's bohemian style, because the tiny elephants make me feel so indian hahaha XD

*Do some random indian dance moves*

I shall continue to do my editing before I lose my blogging mood and decided to play games again. Kbai.

Black and White Nail Art

Whee.. did I mention that I love receiving parcels? XD It's like opening pressies! I absolutely love the feeling hahaha. and it's so addictive till.....

... this happens.  (._.) and these are just part of them for this month what turf.
真是越忙越会花钱。

Anyway, of all the parcels, the one that I'm most anticipated and interested with are these!
Some pearls, tiny metal balls, laces, decorating stuffs made of soft clays, lacey nail stickers, some brushes etc... and a pair of falsies?! lol which I think is a free gift haha

I got all the stuffs at quite a low price, compared to many sites that I've visited. The service is good too, it didn't took long for these to arrive even though they are sent from east m'sia. I initially wanted to get the acrylic nail art stuffs since I've always been drawing and decorating my nails and the pre-made ones are not really cheap and sometimes not even cute! what turf. So I thought it could be nice if I just buy the tools and make whatever things I want, like bunnies and rilakkuma haha! But I end up didn't buy them because after I read up some articles online; according to them, unprofessional use of it could lead to the risk of having weak, brittle nails, or worse, having allergic reaction to it. o.o I don't know how true is that, but it's better not risk. Save the troubles also haha, since the procedure seems really mafan. =3=

Done sorting them!

and Tadaa! This is my first nail art done using the tools! lol Inspired by Tsubasa's black and white nail art featured in the Nail Up! magazine.

First I painted my nails by alternating the black and white nail polishes. I hardly buy dark colored nail polish so this is the darkest shade I have. Glittery black, which looks more like a grey color haha.

Then use a french manicure nail strip tape to paint the white color tip.  Newbie like me still have problem peeling the strip D: The paint came off a little haihs.

For dotting part, I used the two-way nail art pen from Tony Moly which Vin-chan got for me as an omiyage. It's super useful! ♥
Alternatively you can use a dotting tool like the pink one shown above, which is also quite nice to use, provided that you have a stable hand lol :(

Its quite messy but I like hahah! I'll be doing another one this weekend since exam is over! Whee!
and it'll most probably be a girly themed one! ✿

The Heritage Residences, Seri Kembangan

Went for a 2D1N HYPE club trip during the mid-semester break, and I'm only blogging about it 2 weeks after, talk about inefficiency. lol =x It's been a busy time for me over the past few weeks, can't help it :(

The beautiful lake view from the unit we stayed. The initial venue was supposed to be Asian Water Sports Village, Subang, which promised to provide facilities like jacuzzi and sauna, and accommodation at the lake-side town house. But it then changed to The Heritage Residences for some reasons, the unit is much smaller, no promised facilities and there were only like 3 types water sports: banana boat and jet tubes. Even though I had fun there but I still feel so cheated lor. =3=

And that's win, testing all the beds. =3= Looks like some mattress advertisement or not? Haha

The BBQ session at night, I only manage to snap a few photos before the sky began to turn dark and nasty mosquitoes started to show up and join us. Got some bites on my feet and arms, darn itchy! D:

Thanks to those who prepared the food! ♥

                                 Hyper win.

Sitting at the lake side, noming and chatting. It has been a long while since I last get to enjoy relaxing moment like this. T^T

At night, it was drinking + game session. Win suggested to play the Mafia game and it ended up that everyone got addicted to it and repeatedly play it all night. =3= It's especially amusing to look at how people accused each other when you know the truth. Muahaha.

Had our lunch at Nando's, Mid Valley before we all headed home.

My usual order again, grilled vegetables and the must-have Peri chips.

Win's chicken kebab set.

Yes, satisfaction. =▽=

Believe it or not, I'm typing this whole post using an On-Screen keyboard. My keyboard connector hole is spoiled D: Can't believe I have so much patience. =3=

Cath Kidston Inspired Nail Art

Being so frustrated with work, I decided to take a break and do something I love (and therapeutic) instead.
Inspired from Cath Kidston prints! ✿ Yay florals!
I did not expect this to turn out well because everything I did today end up bad.
ARGHHH.

Now just the thought of having so many pending tasks makes me feel so low...
